In a heartwarming display of reflection and personal growth, Grade 7 students from St. Therese, St. Mary, St. Clare, and St. Anne of Our Lady of the Pillar College-Cauayan, Inc. Junior High School department participated in their first-ever recollection\u2014an event designed to foster self-awareness, spiritual reflection, and a deeper sense of community held at Our Lady of the Visitation Seminary on January 11.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The recollection provided students with a unique opportunity to step away from their usual classroom activities and engage in a day of introspection. The event featured a series of talks, group discussions, and mindfulness exercises aimed at helping students reflect on their values, goals, and personal experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It began with a reflective talk by Rev. Fr. Joseph Jinnoh C. Rosales who emphasized the importance of faith, hope, and love. \u201cIt is essential to understand these virtues. Together, they create a foundation for personal growth, a fulfilling life, and a compassionate society,\u201d Father Jinnoh shared.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For many students, this was their first exposure to such an event. \u201cI feel like I understand my friends better now, and I\u2019m more confident in who I am. It\u2019s also as if all my problems were taken away,\u201d said Frezia Coleen Lanuza from St. Clare.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI was very happy all day. I met new friends from other sections,\u201d said Hannane Mawla, a student from St. Mary Magdalene.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
After the initial talk, the students participated in group activities that helped them connect with one another and reflect on their own lives. One of the highlights was the \u201cConversation in the Spirit,\u201d where students were divided into groups of ten to share their understanding of how to improve their faith, hope, and love.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The recollection marked a meaningful start to self-discovery, fostering growth and reflection. The day ended with a Mass led by Father Sherwin Sarmiento, inspiring hope, love, and faith in the hearts of the Grade 7 students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
