This PRIVACY NOTICE applies to processing of personal information in relation to our services as educational institution. We respect your privacy and we go to great lengths in protecting it. OUR LADY OF THE PILLAR COLLEGE-CAUAYAN, INC. is committed in protecting your privacy thus, we urge you to read and understand carefully the privacy set forth herein.


PURPOSE:

We aim to comply with the Data Privacy Act of 2012 and cooperate fully with the National Privacy Commission. OLPCC is committed to meeting both your personal privacy, which is important to us, and ensuring that our genuine and legitimate interests as an educational institution and our ability to fully and effectively carry out our responsibilities are met. The processing of your personal, sensitive and privilege information is essential for us to provide you quality education and best services.


DO WE COLLECT?

LADY OF THE PILLAR COLLEGE-CAUAYAN, INC. collects certain personal information like your personal data that you provide us during your application for admission, information we require or generate upon enrollment and during the course of your stay with us. Upon application for admission, we collect information about personal circumstances and contact information such as- but not limited to – name, your email address, telephone number and other contact details, family history, previous schools attended, academic performance, disciplinary record, medical record, etc. Upon enrollment and during the course of your stay with us, we collect information on your academic or curricular undertakings, the classes you enroll in and scholastic performance, attendance record, medical record etc. We will also collect information for and in relation to co-curricular matters, such as outreach activities, as well as extra-curricular activities, such as membership in student organizations, leadership positions and participation and attendance in seminars, competitions and programs. We will also collect information in connection with any disciplinary incident, including accompanying sanctions that you may be involved in.


DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION

We generally do not disclose your personal information to third parties except to our processors. However, we may disclose your information when necessary under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, when required by law to pursue our legitimate interests as an educational institution, including a variety of academic, administrative, historical and statistical purposes.


Your personal information is accessed and used by OLPCC, specifically by the Office of the Registrar, Guidance Office, Treasurer’s Office and Office of Student Affairs and Services who have legitimate interests in it for the purpose of carrying out their mandate duties.


YOUR RIGHTS

Under the law, you have the right to control our use and processing of your personal information. Your rights include the right 1.) to request access, 2.) to object, 3.) to request rectification or erasure of your personal information, 4.) to restrict processing of your personal information, and 5.) to data portability. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY

We may need to modify this privacy policy to reflect our current privacy practices. We will inform you of the modifications to this policy by posting on our website and FB and/or through sending the changes via email.
