The College of Criminology claimed roster of achievements in the Pillarican Fun Run held on August 3 as they were able to secure places both in the male and female category.

WON THE RACE WITH A MARATHONER’S PACE: Harly Gammad Jr. a student from the Criminology department displays his triumphant smile as he poses alongside OLPCC President Dr. Exuperio V. Flores, Jr., SSC President Nazrene Villoso and school teachers.

The department dominated in the male category as Harly Gammad Jr., Stephen King Martinez, Patrick Aggabao and Miguel Esteban won the champion, first runner up and second runner up places respectively. Fellow criminology students Sharmaine Medina bagged the first runner up and second runner-up spots in the female category. Meanwhile, Arrobella Callejo from the Senior High department broke the winning streaks of the Criminology department as she championed in the female category.

“Bago pa man magsimula ‘yung Fun Run, goal ko na talagang manalo, ‘yun na yung nasa isip ko that time kaya noong malapit na ako sa finish line ang na-feel ko eh masaya kasi ‘yung pagod ko biglang nawala”, Gammad said in the interview. “Ang naging inspirasyon ko sa pagtakbo ay ang aking pamilya kasi sila ‘yung dahilan kung ba’t ako nag-aaral at masaya”, he added.

The Pillarican Fun Run is part of the celebration of OLPCC’s 63rd Founding Anniversary and Dr. Exuperio Flores Jr.’s 8th anniversary as the president. Students, administrators, faculty and staff and alumni joined the event.
