Adrenalin subsided and high emotions trailed off but NADA hydrated with their victory against ABM,102-101, during the 2019 OLPCC sports festival basketball championship.
Delfin Romy Gannaban led NADA through his searing and tricky placing lay ups, fund and registered 26 points enough to be the Most Valuable Player of the game.
In the heat of battle, Dela Cruz and Aggabao got intense in second quarter of the game in the last 1 minute 30 seconds resulting to call technical foul for Aggabao and unsportsman for Dela Cruz.
Chances of NADA became bigger but the ABM went through and still fought for the title but Labugen stood up when 3 points shot on the buzzer beater, 20 seconds.
Like many championship teams, NADA needed some breaks to topple a worthy, powerhouse foe. Those breaks came in the form of ABM inadequacies – inability to make clutch free throws, lack of ball protection late and a short rotation.
Last minute of the game, Jonathan Marinduque tried to threathen NADA with his hopeful 3 point shot but suddenly it caused him to lay down.
As a result, NADA’s recent conquest remained intact. Unsullied. Undiminished. Prevailing over the ABM.
“Sobrang saya at sobrang thankful po ako dahil napatunayan namin sa buong family ng criminology at sa aming ama na si Dean Michael Ringo Tomas na makamit namin yung championship title and siyempre naging inspirasyon din namin si God para sa buong laro,” said Gannaban.
