January 09 I In Pursuit of Knowledge, OLPCC-JHS Grade 10 Student Researchers Take the Pre-defense Stage!

The grade 10 SSC students at Our Lady of the Pillar College Cauayan – Junior High School Department have presented their research projects, highlighting their dedication and commitment to academic excellence, January 9.

The seven-budding group of student researchers from the Grade10 St. Thomas class have delved deep into a wide range of topics. From scientific breakthroughs and experiments to social and educational issues, showcasing their intellectual curiosity and critical thinking skills.

This notable activity was conducted under the attentive guidance and thorough supervision of Mr. Rolando Alcantara Jr., the esteemed research adviser of the student researchers and under the meticulous evaluation of the venerable panel, including Crisanto S. Magaoay, Ph. D, Principal; Ms. Maria Kristina Otero, AP Teacher; and Mrs. Jennefer Bermudez-Tejano, MaEd, Mathematics Teacher.

The pre-defense presentations serve as a crucial stage in refining students’ research before the final defense presentations. Moreover, this process ensures the projects meet the academic standards, fosters skill development in areas like public speaking, and instills confidence in students.

The pre-defense presentations also serve as a testament to the school’s commitment to fostering a culture of research and academic excellence.
