CAUAYAN CITY – Teen PillariCANs joined the 21st Annual Literary, Academic, and Musical (ALAM) Contest spearheaded by University of the Philippines Isabela Society (UPIS) held at Cauayan City Stand-Alone Senior High School, January 29-30.

Among the 21 participating schools coming from public and private secondary schools in the region, Teen PillariCANs accompanied by their coaches, Wennie B. Aquino and Mary Grace B. Agcaoili, coveted the top ranks in two contested activities which qualify them in the National competition “Palaisipan 2024” organized by UP organizations nationwide scheduled April this year. Clark Lester M. Ramos topped the ranking in Slogan making contest while Sky Andre A. Utleg coveted the top rank in the Essay writing contest.

Other Teen PillariCANs who joined the event also waved the PillariCAN flag as they all entered the top 10 in their respective events. Lorrene Belle T. Feliciano, Joaquin Deandre Laciste, and Gene Adrian C. Cordero Jr. battled with their wits garnering the 3rd highest rank. Cairan Noviel I. Galaites on the other hand, got the 5th place in Impromptu speaking, Lerrilei J. Miranda finished 5th in Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, Carl Angelo P. Ani coveted the 7th rank in Photo essay making, Karl Erick L. Regatchon was hailed 7th place in Traditional Poster making, and Rica Andrea S. Collong finished in the 9th rank in Poetry Writing Filipino category.
