CAUAYAN CITY- 262 delegates from 19 catholic schools in region 2 attended the Catholic Education Association of the Philippines’ (CEAP) 11th Regional Assembly with the theme “Pilgrims and Agents of hope; and bracing solidarity” held at Our Lady of the Pillar College-Cauayan, Inc., September 24.

Priests, educators, and administrators from various Catholic institutions from Batanes, Cagayan, Isabela, Quirino, and Nueva Vizcaya gathered for the event to discuss the Catholic education in the region.

During the assembly, the regional officers of CEAP showed a new mission and vision that emphasized the principles of solidarity and synodality within Catholic education which highlighted the goal of CEAP to empower students to actively participate in constructing a compassionate and fair society by connecting their actions with essential standards as it puts an important value on transformative education, developing discernment, critical thinking, and social justice.

Current CEAP President, Fr. Albert N. Delvo, Ph.D., stated in a message, that shaping a bright future must have practices, sharing of ideas, including significant and aspiring educational leaders forging complex and ethical issues with innovative solutions.
