A Eucharistic celebration presided by Rev. Fr. Joseph Jinnoh C. Rosales was held at the school grounds to kick-start the annual Sports and Cultural Festival with the theme “Pagyakap sa Kultura, Maglaro at Magsaya” on September 25.

The Gospel of Luke talked about when God used his discipline to cast out devils and heal the sick without extra supplies. Jesus highlights that through the power and message of God that He is able to continue his mission. This pushes us to think about what it means to put our faith in divine assistance, especially when taking on new tasks or opportunities.

Moreover, Fr. Jinnoh’s homily explained how sports fest is not just a competition but more about helping one another. He said, “Ang endpoint ng Sports fest is to promote unity and camaraderie, not hatred, division, or too much competition.”

Overall, the mass’ significance is to accept the challenges of competition and continue the idea of a positive motivation which can transform our physical hobbies into opportunities. This did not only improve the mood of the Sports fest, but it also intensified the values we foster as individuals as well as groups.
