Teen PillariCANs celebrated the United Nations event held at Our Lady of the Pillar College-Cauayan, Inc. Junior High School department with this year’s theme, β€œCultivating a Culture of Peace,” highlighting the importance of recognizing and respecting diverse cultures while protecting our shared world, December 6.

Students performed national dance performances from the chosen countries and through this they were able to show a glimpse of the country’s culture and tradition.

Other events held prior to the culmination day were mobile photography, digital counter-poster making contest which helped the students to express their own interpretation of cultivating peace and allowed them to express their creative and artistic side while promoting peace and spreading unity.

Lastly, the event highlighted the search for Mister and Miss United Nations 2024, where the candidates proudly presented the heritage and culture of their chosen country. They conquered the stage wearing the costumes made of recycled and reused materials which embodied diversity and showcased the rich culture of the country they represented.

The events during the celebration of the United Nations do not only emphasize diversity but also the importance of peace and harmony to create a place where everyone can live with serenity and tranquility.
