
Ending the school year with a bang! Faculty, staff, color and honor guards from the Criminology department, together with 237 Teen PillariCANs from Grades 7-9 marched hand in hand with their proud parents/guardians as they come up the stage during the Recognition Ceremony of Our Lady of the Pillar College-Cauayan, (OLPC-C) Inc. Junior High School department (JHS) held at OLPC-C college gymnasium, May 7.
The Junior High School’s recognition day highlighted the achievements of 94 Grade 7 students with their advisers, Rosalie Ann C. Bernardo for Saint Therese, Frances Ann A. Acenas of Saint Anne, Arielle Joy Reyes of Saint Mary Magdalene, and Joshua R. Pagulayan of Saint Clare; 67 Grade 8 students with their advisers, Mary Jane B. Cuntapay of Saint Pio, Joanna Grace M. Roles of Saint Matthew, and Jenrick Kyle P. Badua of Saint Mark; and 76 Grade 9 students under the advisory of Dominga G. Baccay of Saint Pedro Calungsod, Mary Grace B. Agcaoili of Saint Francis, and Jerald F. Francisco of Saint Ignatius.

Aside from the awarding of certificates and medals, the ceremony highlighted the parts where students had partaken into: a meaningful opening prayer by Diane Sofia A. Mariano of Grade 8 Saint Mark, a warm welcome address by Gil Andrei C. Alejandre of Grade 9 Saint Francis of Assisi, heartfelt words of gratitude delivered by Mannyson Johan D. Reyes from Grade 9 Saint Pedro Calungsod, and a solemn closing prayer by Samantha Keith R. Natividad from Grade 8 Saint Pio of Pietrelcina.

After the awarding, Dr. Crisanto S. Magaoay, Junior High School principal, closed the program as he acknowledged the students’ achievements as well as the role of parents and teachers in shaping and in supporting the students to achieve their goals in life.
