On July 7, Our Lady of the Pillar College-Cauayan, Inc. (OLPC-C JHS) department officially welcomed all students, faculty, and staff to a new academic year as the institution look forward to a year of collaborative learning, growth, and achievement.

As early as 6:30 AM, students could already be seen entering the school gate with wide smiles, new school bags, and wearing their best outfits. The Supreme Student Government (SSG) officers stood by the gate welcoming students especially transferees and Grade 7 students to guide them where to go.

To formally open the academic year, a joyful and meaningful program was held at the gymnasium. The flow of activities was smooth, from the opening prayer, National anthem, welcoming remarks, and introduction of the faculty and staff.

Aside from these, the FINtastic welcoming program also included intermission numbers from the Silakbo band – OLPC-C JHS’ own band, unity dance, fun games, and a campus tour for the Grade 7 and transferees.

Milenio A. Francisco, Grade 10 adviser and SSG adviser, together with the help of the SSG officers, has made this event possible through their combined efforts.

After the program, students proceeded to their respective classrooms where they met their class adviser and classmates to conduct a brief orientation about the classroom rules, grading system, class schedule, proper uniform and haircut, and some other important announcements.

School’s back in session! So excited for all the learning, growth, and fun ahead! 🎉
