Saint Pio, also known as Padre Pio, was an Italian Capuchin friar and mystic who is venerated as a saint in the Catholic Church. Saint Pio is widely known for his piety, miracles, and the stigmata (wounds resembling the crucifixion wounds of Jesus Christ) that he reportedly bore for most of his life.
Devotees and the Catholic community often commemorate Saint Pio’s feast day on September 23 with special prayers, Masses, and events to honor his life and spiritual contributions.
